The students of the Southern Ute Indian Academy are showing their support and sympathy for the survivors of the deadly Tsunami that claimed the lives of more than 200,000 people in Asia since it hit on Dec.w 26, 2004. Most of the students counting change knew they were donating to the survivors of the tsunami. They figured their donations would go to rebuilding houses, school and buying new clothes. They were asked to bring in spare change from home to donate to UNICEF on jan. 18 they came together in the Paa’at Dining hall to count the change, which resulted in $640 ... all collected in one week.
