Ignacio's Jacob Gallegos enjoys a pregame laugh prior to action at IHS Field. Already named the 2A/1A San Juan Basin League's Player-of-the-Year, the sophomore shortstop/pitcher most recently was named Honorable Mention All-2A.

Ignacio shortstop Jacob Gallegos (12) accepts congratulations from Evergreen Clear Creek's Jett Baker (18) after the Bobcats eliminated the Golddiggers from the postseason, in the 2A-Region VIII Tournament semifinals up at Wiggins H.S. Gallegos was recently named not only First Team All-SJBL, but SJBL Player-of-the-Year after his fielding and hitting (plus pitching in a pinch) helped the Bobcats improve from 5-9-1 overall in 2021 to 15-8 in 2022.
