’Cats named All-Conference in football

Active-roster seniors John Riepel (4), Zane Ross (52) and Lane Johnson (7), plus team manager Zane Olguin (as well as part-time manager Harmony Reynolds, not pictured) were all honored before kickoff Friday, Oct. 28, versus Del Norte. The Bobcats would defeat the Tigers 26-6.

Bobcats-Rams bumped to the A.M.

Ignacio Bobcat Football officially got the Fall 2021 season going with practices beginning Monday, Aug. 9.  IHS’ first game is set for the 28th when non-conference Roaring Fork comes down from Carbondale.

Ignacio senior RB flings TD in Florida

Ignacio’s Joe Garcia (23) was a happy camper on Senior Night; the Bobcats blanked Del Norte to end the abbreviated Fall 2020 football campaign.  Should all go well, Garcia will see one more bit of prep-level action at the upcoming 2021 Hawaii Tiki Bowl, relocated to Orlando, Fla., due to COVID-19 precautions.

The senior running back/linebacker was recently named First Team All-SPC for 2020.
