This article discusses simple ways for you to stay involved in your student’s education.

Attend school events

Such events as student performances, awards ceremonies, and sporting events are great ways for you to show support to your student’s school.  Attending these events also shows support to the teachers and staff at the school as well as providing an opportunity to meet other parents.

• Find ways to be more involved
• Volunteer in a classroom
• Join a parent group
• Attend educational policy meetings
• Serve on a school board or committee

Your presence at school related functions will show your student how important his/her education is to you.
