Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy (SUIMA) upper elementary students held a coffee shop sale on Thursday, Nov. 17 to raise funds for their end of the year Santa Fe trip. Southern Ute tribal staff, students and teachers from SUIMA and family members stopped by to buy coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate and donuts. The students made approximately $150 to go towards their trip.

The upper elementary students took a field trip to Haviland Lake, Friday, March 11 to go snowshoeing. The weather was perfect for their outdoor adventures.

SunUte is celebrating 20 years of operation, and to thank their former employees, an event was held on Friday, Dec. 3 at the Community Center. Former front desk attendants, Shiri Howell and Krista Richards attended together.

The Southern Ute Grounds Maintenance Department crew hang Christmas lights on the trees just east of the Leonard C. Burch Administration Building. The Maintenance Dept. hang lights every year on the trees around the LCB Building as well as lining the balconies with luminaries, making for a festive sight in the evening.
