Council tours Head Start

General Assistance Program Manager, Jeff Seebach, examines a historic landfill where unwanted appliances and other debris was used to prevent erosion; these dumpsites are a source of contamination for agriculture land assignments and nearby watersheds. Working alongside EPD, contractors are responsible for trucking out the debris for disposal at the landfill, all viable metal is being separated out for recycling in the process.

EPD tackles cleanup of historic dumpsites, landfills

Project Manager Victor Ramirez works with his team to finish the initial set up of the “Hurricane 755” Industrial Vacuum and shower system on Thursday, Jan. 6 outside the former Head Start building on Tribal Campus. With this technology, technicians will be able to safely go into the building to collect asbestos and use the outside set up to shower as an added precaution.
