Southern Ute tribal member, Daisy Bluestar testified at the Capitol in Denver in support of SB22-150, a Colorado Bill on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives to the Senate Judiciary committee, Thursday, March 24. “Along with addressing cold cases, the #MMIR bill will ‘connect the dots’ to crack down on human traffickers who prey on a vulnerable population by exploiting gaps in knowledge,” said Jessie Danielson, State Senator serving Jefferson County. The bill is set to improve responses to MMIR cases, provide better support for Indigenous communities, and better serve families of MMIR.
