The Tri-Ute Games was held Monday, July 7 through Thursday, July 10 hosted this year by the Ute Indian Tribe. Athletes from the three Ute tribes gathered to compete head-to-head in basketball, volleyball, golf, archery, and handgames. Athletes also completed the Ute Warrior Challenge filled will obstacle courses, long distance running, and swimming. The Tri-Ute Games encourages friendly competition and interconnection as the young athletes compete, making time to meet their fellow Ute relatives and play their respective sports. Next year, the Tri Ute Games will be held in Towaoc, Colo. by the neighboring Ute Mountain Ute Tribe.
