Sip, Chat and Chew

Construction workers remove and replace pavement markings so the intersection of CR 517 and CR 172 is properly reconfigured for traffic flow, while also pulling and installing wire for the traffic light. The traffic light has now been operational as of Tuesday, April 17. The new signal is the fourth stoplight to be installed on CR 172 and Goddard Ave to meet the demands of development, and the increase of vehicle traffic on the reservation and throughout Ignacio.

Ignacio sophomore Elco Garcia, Jr., joins the leaders in the 1,600-meter run during the recent Pine River Invitational (Saturday, April 14) inside Bayfield’s Wolverine Country Stadium.  He would place third, clocking 5 minutes, 3.79 seconds, but broke the five-minute barrier even more recently in Aztec, N.M.
