This headdress is made of glass seed beads, cotton thread, trade cloth, buckskin, thirty-two eagle feathers, brass buttons, chicken feathers, horsehair, and animal fur. It belonged to Antonio Buck, Sr. (1879–1961), the last hereditary chief of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. He received it from his father, Buckskin Charley (1840–1936), who led many delegations to Washington, DC, to work on behalf of the tribe. It was made around 1890–1900. Frances Buck donated it to History Colorado. 84.32.1
