Health personnel met with Ignacio Mayor, Balty Quintana and Tribal Member San Jean Ketchum in hopes to spread the word about a new Health Clinic located in the old Community Hospital. Tribal and federal employees teamed up with students from Ignacio High School during the first full week of May to perform some restoration work on Rock and Dry Creeks in the Ignacio area. On Thursday, May 9, John Chavarillo and Tyson Thompson gave students from the Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy an introduction to the ways of Bear Dance, inviting a few of the boys to sit in and sing a couple of Bear Dance songs.
