Easter egg roundup

Miss Southern Ute, Autumn Sage welcomed family, friends and community members to the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23 at SunUte Park. The current Southern Ute Royalty and Southern Ute Tribal Council member, Marge Barry, welcomed participants to the annual family-friendly event. The annual program is made possible through collaboration between the Boys and Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and the Southern Ute Police Department.
BGC Site Director, Bruce LeClaire, along with his daughter Kaylyn LeClaire, help his grandson gather eggs during the 0-4 age group.
Kids race off to gather as many eggs as they can during the Easter egg hunt for age group 5-8.
The older group (9-14) race each other, trying to find the eggs that contain paper slips inside, which guarantee a prize.

The Boys and Girls Club and the Southern Ute Police Department hosted the 2024 Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23 at SunUte Park in Ignacio. The Easter Bunny arrived in a Los Pinos fire truck to start off the community egg hunt at 10am. The event had 25,687 eggs for all age group hunts and the majority of the eggs were filled with prize slips to win prizes that were donated for the event.
