The Southern Ute Wildlife Department hosted a group of students from the Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy for an afternoon of ice fishing on Scott’s Pond, Thursday, Jan. 26. The Tribe provided ice augers and other fishing equipment for the students and their parents to use. Students fished alongside their peers in hopes of netting a big trout. The fishing workshop is an annual program in collaboration with SUIMA and the Wildlife Division each winter.
