Ignacio acquires first electric vehicle charge station

The Air Quality Program has outfitted an SUV, dubbed the Methane Ranger, with state of the art equipment, to collect data and spot potential methane leaks within the Southern Ute Reservation boundaries. Since the vehicle is highly mobile, it adds accuracy, reliability and practicality to the collection of methane data in the field. The Methane Ranger was on display following the recent Environmental Commission meeting held in Ignacio, Wednesday, Oct. 11.
