Environmental Programs and Wildlife team up on Animas River

An abandoned truck, which likely dates to the middle of last century, was exposed in the burn scar, along with other debris. Mitigation efforts in the Burned Area Emergency Rehabilitation (BAER) process have worked to clean up these areas for public use.

Maynes is a partner in Maynes, Bradford, Shipps & Sheftel, LLP. His practice focuses primarily on representing the Southern Ute Indian Tribe on a broad array of issues involving all aspects of federal Indian law.

Maynes recognized for service

Project Manager Victor Ramirez works with his team to finish the initial set up of the “Hurricane 755” Industrial Vacuum and shower system on Thursday, Jan. 6 outside the former Head Start building on Tribal Campus. With this technology, technicians will be able to safely go into the building to collect asbestos and use the outside set up to shower as an added precaution.

The Tribe’s Environmental Programs Division (EPD) continues to work with May/Burch to assist in the documentation and preservation of historic murals from the boarding school era, these Native American scenes date back to the early 1930’s located in currently vacant buildings throughout Tribal Campus.
