The Southern Ute Drum staff received a total of 10 awards during the Colorado Press Association’s 145th Annual Convention, winning nine awards for individual pieces in both editorial journalism and photography as well as the “Excellence in Photo & Design” sweepstakes award in the Class 8 division. The convention was held Thursday, Sept. 21 through Saturday, Sept. 23 in Denver, Colo. at the Buell Public Media Center and The Curtis Hotel.
