Rising in the ranks

SUPD Sergeant Khaera Chee-Wauneka, having recently received a promotion within the Southern Ute Police Department, gets a new badge ceremoniously pinned to her uniform for the first time by husband, Adrian Wauneka, Friday, Aug. 18.
The Southern Ute Police Department and Tribal Rangers held a promotional ceremony in the large J&R conference room, Friday, Aug. 18, to celebrate the promotion of two SUPD Lieutenants, two Sergeants, and a Ranger Captain.
