The Tribe’s Justice and Regulatory Department was recognized during Law Enforcement week in Ignacio; Detention Division Head, DeWayne Todd mans the grill during an appreciation luncheon, Wednesday, May 18, in conjunction with a dinner and breakfast by Tribal Rangers and the Southern Ute Police Department. The formal recognition honors law enforcement officers — locally and across the nation that have given the ultimate sacrifice in their service to the communities they serve. The Tribe also recognizes active law enforcement staff throughout the week for their service and dedication to the local community.
