Community Baby Shower at MPF
Shining Mountain Health & Wellness hosted the annual Community Baby Shower and Breastfeeding Walk on Thursday, Aug. 13 at the Multi-Purpose Facility. This year’s event, honored families, offered breastfeeding support and community resources – a variety of local resource booths were made available to all attendees. In recognition of Breastfeeding Awareness Month and Indigenous Milk Medicine Week, participants also enjoyed a light one mile walk and a homemade healthy lunch by Lisa Smith. The event is sponsored by Shining Mountain Health & Wellness and Southwestern Colorado Area Health Education Center.
