The Southern Ute Growth Fund Management Committee (GFMC) is proud to announce the appointment of Izabella Cloud as the new Tribal Member-at-Large and Committee Member. This important role was created to ensure tribal member perspectives are actively represented in the strategic direction and decision-making of the Southern Ute Growth Fund.

Cloud brings a strong commitment to community, a deep understanding of tribal values, and a fresh perspective that will support the Growth Fund in achieving its goals and objectives. Her appointment reflects GFMC’s dedication to inclusive leadership and its ongoing efforts to align operations with the long-term vision of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe.

Cloud is committed to serving the Southern Ute people with integrity. “As a Tribal Member-at-Large, I hope to bring a thoughtful and balanced younger perspective to the Growth Fund’s decision-making process,” she said. “I want to ensure that our Tribe’s economic strategies not only generate financial success today but also create long-term stability and opportunities for future generations.”

In September, Cloud also had the opportunity to attend the 2025 Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) Conference, as part of the NAFOA Leadership Summit. She was selected to attend the Leadership Summit, which is a unique opportunity for Native American young professionals (ages 22–28) to enhance their leadership skills, engage with industry experts, and build a network of like-minded peers. This immersive program empowers emerging leaders interested in tribal governance, economic development, and the business and finance sectors.

Summit attendees engage directly with tribal leaders and business professionals during a comprehensive day of programming. The two-day conference fosters valuable networking opportunities and encourages critical dialogue on tribal finance and the economic challenges and opportunities shaping tribal economies.

Please join us in welcoming Izabella Cloud to the Growth Fund Management Committee. Her insight, dedication, and leadership promise to make a meaningful impact as she begins her journey in this important role. Cloud will serve a three-year term through August 26, 2028, and we look forward to the contributions she will make in shaping the future of the Southern Ute Growth Fund.
