Southern Ute Veterans return to Arizona

The community of Williams, Ariz. came out in force Saturday, to honor those who were killed or injured in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the United States. Following the theme “We Remember,” Coconino County Sheriff Jim Driscoll, serving as Grand Marshal, led the 80 entrants of the second annual Patriot Day Parade through downtown Williams. Groups also came from as far away as Colorado to participate in the hometown event. These groups included Southern Ute Veterans Association, the Perch Base Submarine Veterans, the Arizona Military Vehicle Collectors Club, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University AFROTC Detachment 028 Honor Corps, Coconino Community College and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
