Many Moons 10: The Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy celebrates the works of Dr. Seuss with each passing year. Older students are encouraged to read aloud to the younger audience, while teachers also chip in with storybook sharing. In the name of the famous author, characters from better-known works visit each of the classrooms. Characters played by Academy faculty included the Grinch, Thing 2, and the infamous Cat in the Hat. Spring snow flurries set the mood for this lively reading activity held on Friday, Mar. 2, 2012. This photo was published in the March 9, 2012 issue of The Southern Ute Drum.

The 21 day long Outward Bound program was sponsored by Coors Brewing of Golden, Colo. and encouraged young participants to explore and experience wilderness first hand.
