Miss Southern Ute, Maleina Carel waves to the crowd and judges during the San Ignacio Fiesta Parade on Saturday, July 26. Carel went on to place first in the horses-single category of the parade. This year marks the 127th annual San Ignacio Fiesta. Downtown Ignacio was lined with spectators eagerly waiting for the parade to kick off – families, royalty, and local organizations graced the streets on Saturday morning, sharing various goods along Goddard Ave.
Agatha Bison rides a top of her dinosaur decorated ride, promoting her “Dino Run” event set to take place again this year during the Southern Ute Tribal Fair.
The Bayfield Belles dance down the street during the parade, the Bayfield Belles went on to tie for the grand prize.

Parading down Goddard Ave., It’s a Fiesta!


Downtown Ignacio was lined with spectators patiently waiting for the San Ignacio Fiesta Parade on Saturday, July 26. Families, royalty, and local organizations graced the streets sharing goods with the attendees. Grand Prize in the parade came down to a tie between the Isador Band and the Bayfield Belles. This year marks the 127th Annual San Ignacio Fiesta, and this year’s theme reflects on growing friendships, families, and faith.
