The pair of ospreys at Lake Capote have been brooding three eggs this spring, and they began hatching during the first week of June. All the birds’ activities can be seen via the webcam at lakecapote.com/osprey-cam/ Jon Broholm, a technician with the Division of Wildlife Resource Management, said that the viewing is often best in the mornings before the wind starts to affect the livestream’s stability. He also noted that, “some years are better than others in terms of chicks fledging, but we’re always excited to watch the process unfold.”  Wildlife Resource Management Division staff have made numerous improvements to the Osprey Cam project during the past two years, including a new high-definition camera being installed this past winter.
