Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy Upper Elementary students were able to see inside of the tribal rangers’ patrol trucks. Leandro Litz was able to try out the sirens and lights under supervision.

Southern Ute tribal elder Eddie Box Jr. gave the blessing of tribal law enforcement staff and their vehicles on Wednesday, May 15, in front of the Casias Newton Justice Center during the Law Enforcement Memorial Day ceremony. Southern Ute Tribal Council members Marvin Pinnecoose and Marge Barry spoke in front of the men and woman who are currently serving in tribal law enforcement and thanked them for their service. Also in attendance were Justice and Regulatory Director, Chris Mimmack, SUPD Chief Michael Barrow, and Executive Officer Lindsey Box
