Stories We Wear, Recognizing and Honoring our Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives exhibit opened on Friday, May 5 at the Ignacio Community Library. The Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College along with the Ignacio Creative District help put together the exhibit, which is open to the public, May 5 – May 31.
Tribal elder Neida Chakee views the exhibit. Chakee also gave the opening prayer to open the exhibit Friday, May 5. Screening of “Her Silent Voice,” a documentary by Shalina Luna was shown and a potluck dinner was held afterwards.
