Tribal employees, and longtime coworkers gathered to say farewell to Morterud after 14 years of dedicated service to the Grounds Maintenance Division.

Marie Morterud received gifts and greetings from coworkers and tribal employees on Friday, July 29 in the Hall of Warriors at the Leonard C. Burch Building. Morterud spent the majority of her service years tending to the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum and the Southern Ute Tribal Campus area.

Employees from the Grounds Maintenance Division shared brief stories and memories of Marie Morterud at her retirement party held on Friday, July 29 in the Hall of Warriors. Morterud has spent many years working alongside her coworkers on Tribal Campus and during the Southern Ute Bear Dance celebrations which she thoroughly enjoyed.
