Los Pinos Fire Protection District Board President, James Brown addresses the Board’s concern regarding growing costs of providing services and decrease in reserves. Tribal leadership acknowledged the benefit of local emergency services and faster response times, providing much needed expedited care and assistance in the community.

Southern Ute Tribal Council meets occasionally with the Los Pinos Fire Protection District Board and administration to engage in discussion and consultation. Leadership stressed the importance of continuing education and employment opportunities with the emergency responders.
