While the eagles have been visiting the osprey platform, the Wildlife Division still anticipates the arrival of the resident Ospreys any day now. There should be some interesting interactions between the species.
This Spring a pair of Bald Eagles has been working on a new nest at the north end of Lake Capote. We believe this pair is just old enough that this could be their first nesting attempt and so they may or may not be successful this year.
