The Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy celebrated the Easter holiday on Friday, April 19. Southern Ute elder Ramona Eagle and SUIMA student Cassius Harlan watched as his father, Stais Harlan, counted how many eggs were in his basket. Students and their families gathered for an Easter egg hunt on SUIMA grounds for younger students and at SunUte Park for older students. Parents and grandparents were encouraged to participate in helping find Easter eggs alongside the youngest of participants.
