The Southern Ute Wildlife Division is pleased to announce the arrival of a female osprey to our nest at Lake Capote. She is busy rebuilding the nest, which can be viewed via the webcam at We hope to see the male arrive in the next few days, and expect to see continued nest-building, mating, eggs being laid and hatching, and of course lots of fish being brought to the nest. The camera mount has been redesigned for 2018 to offer a wider view of the nest and the lake in the background. Also new for 2018 is a microphone at the nest, and we hope to have sound integrated into the video feed in the near future. Check out the webcam page, and get in touch with us with any questions or comments!
