Employees of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe ‘gear up’ in life-vests for a trip down the Animas River in one of the three activities provided to employees during the Southern Ute Tribe’s Employee Appreciation Day on Thursday, June 15.

Durango’s own Zia Taqueria was in charge of providing a taco bar for employees during the lunch on Thursday.

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe held it’s annual Employee Appreciation Day (EAD) Thursday, June 15. The day’s activities gave Permanent Fund and Growth Fund employees a range of enjoyment to choose from; rafting – hosted by Mild To Wild in Durango, movies at the Allen Theaters – Durango Stadium 9 and golfing – either at Glacier Club or Hunter’s Run. The Southern Ute Heritage Dancers performed various dances in the Three Springs Plaza, and a meal provided by Zia’s of Durango and desserts from Rez Girls Catering of Ignacio topped off the day.
