No sugar thirst quenchers

No need for lots of added sugar to quench your thirst this summer. Just think fruits and herbs! 

Tart Cherry Fizz 

  • Mix 12oz of seltzer with 4oz of tart cherry juice. 
  • Add sliced lime. 
  • Pour over ice or chill in fridge. 

 Citrus and Herb Water 

  • Slice lemons or limes. 
  • Slice cucumber. 
  • Add whole mint leaves or rosemary sprigs. 
  • Let sit for 20 minutes to enhance flavors. 
  • Pour over ice or chill in fridge. 

Ginger Lemon Tea 

  • Start with raw ginger root. Wash it and peel it back about an inch. 
  • Thinly slice the ginger. 
  • Place ginger into a pot with 4 cups of water.  
  • Bring pot of water/ginger to boil and reduce to simmer. Let simmer for 10-20 minutes then remove from heat. If adding tea bags, do this a few minutes before done so it steeps for 4 minutes. 
  • Juice a half a lemon into pot. 
  • Add honey or maple syrup if needed as a sweetener. 
  • Pour over ice or chill in fridge.
