No need for lots of added sugar to quench your thirst this summer. Just think fruits and herbs!
Tart Cherry Fizz
- Mix 12oz of seltzer with 4oz of tart cherry juice.
- Add sliced lime.
- Pour over ice or chill in fridge.
Citrus and Herb Water
- Slice lemons or limes.
- Slice cucumber.
- Add whole mint leaves or rosemary sprigs.
- Let sit for 20 minutes to enhance flavors.
- Pour over ice or chill in fridge.
Ginger Lemon Tea
- Start with raw ginger root. Wash it and peel it back about an inch.
- Thinly slice the ginger.
- Place ginger into a pot with 4 cups of water.
- Bring pot of water/ginger to boil and reduce to simmer. Let simmer for 10-20 minutes then remove from heat. If adding tea bags, do this a few minutes before done so it steeps for 4 minutes.
- Juice a half a lemon into pot.
- Add honey or maple syrup if needed as a sweetener.
- Pour over ice or chill in fridge.
