Pueblo Community College (Southwest Campus) and the Colorado State University extension office held a Native American Community Listening Session in Ignacio, Friday July 25. The session was looking to hear from Native community members on their thoughts on how to access higher education resources and opportunities. The session was moderated by Greg Felsen, CSU Accessible Education Specialist for the Western Region; Alex Linden, PCC SW Testing & Academic Support Coordinator and Imo Succo, PCC SW Tribal Liaison.
Rochelle Aguilar, Career Coordinator for the Permanent Fund’s Human Resources Dept, was among the Southern Ute tribal members who shared their thoughts on educational opportunities and career advancement within the tribal community. The program was held at the Sky Ute Casino Resort, and lunch was provided to attendees.
