The Southern Ute Education Department’s Distance Learning Coordinator, Nicole Cabral, gets wrapped in a Pendleton blanket by Southern Ute elder, Lynda D’Wolf and Education Director, LaTitia Taylor on Thursday, May 27. After working with the Education Department for many years, Cabral is moving to Washington State to work with the Yakima Tribal College.
Nicole Cabral, ShaRay Rock, and Alicia (AJ) Nequatewa stand together for a portrait outside the Southern Ute Education building. The department hosted a farewell get together, to recognize each of them for their hard work and dedication — and wish them success going forward on their individual journeys.
Southern Ute Education Assistant, ShaRay Rock is moving to Las Vegas, Nev. and Southern Ute Education Assistant Alicia (AJ) Nequatewa, is moving back home to work with students at the Hopi Tribe in Arizona. They each received gift bags in recognition for their dedication and service to the Southern Ute community and the students they impacted.
