Southern Ute tribal member, Avionne Gomez was among the graduating seniors who received recognition for academic excellent at the 32nd annual Academic Awards Banquet.

A candle was lit for each of the student inductees as part of the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony in the Ignacio School District. The 32nd annual Academic Awards Banquet brought the community together in the Ignacio High School auditorium, Monday, May 14.
