Bear Dance Chief, Matthew Box gives hand-carved wooden ladles to Velma Armijo recognizing her and her family for their years of service to the Tribe and asking for their support during this year’s Bear Dance celebration.
Velma Armijo was honored and recognized by Bear Dance Chief, Matthew Box, Friday, March 13, for her and her family's dedication to cooking the Bear Dance feast each year. Armijo was honored with a song and two new hand-crafted cooking ladles as a surprise organized by her fellow employees and Chief Box.
