MPF hosts the ‘Honor Our Youth’ powwow

The afternoon session of the powwow at the Multi-Purpose Facility finished off with a series of round dance sessions before the dinner break on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The Multi-Purpose Facility started the year off with the January Youth Powwow held in Ignacio, Saturday, Jan. 25. Headstaff for the afternoon session included Mesklwvw and Micco Wesley, Teddy Wing, Henry Whiteskunk II, Jayme Hammitt and the Southern Ute Veterans Association helping the youth bring in the flags for the powwow. Throughout the afternoon and evening spectators and dancers enjoyed round dances, inter–tribals, numerous specials and the Grand Entries.
