



Museum Collection’s Manager, Tallas Cantsee spoke about the new Carriers of Life, Ute Cradleboard and Basket temporary exhibit on Thursday, May 23 at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum (SUCCM). Southern Ute Tribal Chairman Melvin J. Baker, Vice-Chairman Lorelei Cloud and Councilwoman Vanessa Torres were in attendance for the new exhibit opening. The temporary exhibit will be open to the public until the end of this year.
Raelynn Frauenhoff, Education and Outreach Coordinator welcomed visitors to the opening of the new exhibit at the museum.
Chairman Melvin J. Baker explores the new temporary exhibit at the museum showcasing cradleboards and baskets.
During the exhibit opening, 15 large cradleboards and several miniature and small cradleboards were on display to illustrate the complexity of how cradleboards were made for children and their dolls.
