Cassandra Atencio, NAGPRA Coordinator for the Southern Ute Cultural Department, shared a painting, expressing her Ute history though symbolism.

The Southern Ute Royalty hosted their first Ute Storytelling presentation, which filled the Southern Ute Museum, Friday, March 2. Traditional Ute stories were shared by Southern Ute elders, Alden Naranjo and Russel Box Sr., cultural representative Cassandra Atencio also presented an art piece depicting Ute history.
