LeClaire takes culture to classroom

BGC Chief Professional Officer, Bruce LeClaire gave an energetic and informative cultural presentation to Southern Ute Montessori Indian Academy (SUIMA) students on Friday, Dec. 1. LeClaire who is a veteran and Traditional style dancer, hails from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota and has been actively dancing for most of his life. The presentation included storytelling, and an explanation of regalia, accompanied by music and dance.
Bruce LeClaire gave a cultural presentation to Southern Ute Montessori Indian Academy students.
The SUIMA students had an assignment to take notes, or create individual drawings during the cultural presentation, which each of the students excitedly shared at the end of class.
