On behalf of my ancestors and relatives, 

I want to honor my son in the Southern Ute Drum. He was one of the students receiving a citizenship award for positive behavior. I am proud of him and all the teachers that serve our young people. Nathan Strong Elk III is a former Montessorian and attends the Southern Ute Indian Montessori School. Wishing him the best future and that he walks in our Southern Ute traditions as a first descendant. He Bear Dances, loves soccer and basketball. He is pictured with Mr. Rob Stafford, Bayfield Middle school counselor and one of the administrators.
