10 years ago: Southern Ute Wildlife Biologist Aran Johnson and helicopter pilot Mark Shelton make a pass over the mountains toward Ignacio during the annual aerial game count, conducted each year to track long-term health trends in deer and elk populations on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. 20 years ago: The Southern Ute Home Grant Program had two-, three- and four-bedroom homes for sale. All of the Home Grant homes at Cedar Point Ute Housing ready for occupancy were available to Southern Ute tribal members. The program was open to single people and families.
