10 Years Ago: The Southern Ute Police Department’s annual Halloween Carnival at the SunUte Community Center was a fun-filled family fright fest complete with a haunted house, kids’ games, cake walks and more. Hundreds of community members turned out in their best costumes — some spooky, some goofy — to try their hands (or claws) at Miss Southern Ute First Alternate Suzi Richards and Southern Ute Indian Tribal Councilman Howard D.
