30 Years Ago: Children in Kindergarten through seventh grade celebrated the end of the Education Department’s summer session on Thursday, August 1, 1991. Students learned Native American customs and culture through art, puppetry, creative writing and literary skills. The students showcased their knowledge by performing a puppet show, by telling traditional stories and by singing traditional songs in Ute.
