A weekend of fun activities for the entire family is something everybody in Ignacio looks forward to during the San Ignacio Fiesta weekend, which is always held at the last full weekend in July. Just as every year, the parade is just the start of festivities. Pictured are the Grand Marshall’s for the parade, Eddie, Jr. and Betty Box, who normally are handing out fun things for the children along the streets during the parade but this year they had the honor of being Grand Marshall.

40 Years Ago: Make them good and chocolately - the Johnson O’Malley tutoring students tried their collective hand at cooking Wednesday, July 19. Not only did they enjoy learning the secrets of baking, but there were also math problems involved, such as measuring out ½ cup. The cookies were sold at a bake sale Thursday.
