PEABODY – Gabriel Dean Peabody Sr. passed away at his home on June 7, 2017. Gabriel was born in Cortez, CO on July 16, 1970 to Joycelyn Dutchie and Darvin House. He grew up in Towaoc, CO with his grandparents the late Joe and Elizabeth Peabody.

He enjoyed going hunting and fishing with his grandfather and uncles. He worked in construction throughout his life. Gabriel also enjoyed playing baseball. He was an awesome artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. His paintings are hanging in the Southern Ute Growth Fund building.

Gabriel is survived by his mother Joycelyn Dutchie; children Gabriel (Shawn) Jr. and Shawna Peabody; three grandkids; and his two dogs Max & Duncan. He was preceded by grandparents Joseph & Elizabeth Peabody; and step-father Gilbert Dutchie.

A Funeral Service was held at Hood Mortuary Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 15, 2017.
