Due to the unfortunate car accident the Baidwan family endured on 6/29/15 custodial employees: Renee Tree, Diamond Morgan and Damon Tung have established a donation fund at Wells Fargo Bank.

If anyone would like to donate money toward their hospital bills, please go to any Wells Fargo Bank and ask to deposit into the Jess Baidwan donation account.

On June 29, 2015 the Baidwan Family was in a bad car accident on Hwy 64 between Bloomfield and Farmington near the Racetrack, caused by a distracted driver who pulled in front of them. They had no time to react.

Jess’ Mother and his entire family were in their Honda Odyssey at the time. All of them were taken to San Juan Regional Hospital in Farmington by Ambulance and his 16 year old son Jordan had extensive internal injuries and had emergency surgery performed by Dr. Kalchich, new to SJRMC. Dr. Kalchich did awesome!

Immediately after surgery Jordan was life flighted to UNM Med Center where he was in ICU for 9 days. He lost his Spleen, his Gallbladder, one Adrenal Gland, Half his Pancreas and part of his Liver. Jess’ mother Coy was hospitalized in SJRMC for 5 days because her Spleen was also damaged.

The rest of the family; his Daughter Amber, Strained ankle, seat belt damage, bruises, his wife Pam, two damaged feet and ankles, displaced ribs, collapsed lung and contusion behind lung, and Jess, severely lacerated hand requiring 40 stitches, seat belt bruises and bruised ribs; they were treated and released that 1st night, with minor injuries. Recovery for all of us will take time.

Sadly, the driver of the other vehicle, despite driving a 2015 SUV, did not have insurance. Early estimates on Jordan’s hospital and life flight costs are about $600,000.00 alone. This leaves the Baidwans with a fight that will take much time to resolve.
