Load, aim, shoot was the goal of the day at the Brad Jesmer/Tony Archuleta Memorial Police Scholarship Shoot Saturday, July 18 at the rift range. Participants compete in the 100-yard riflescope shoot.
Shooters participated in the Steel Plates competition. Six rounds from seven yards at the steel plates, shooter with fastest time and most hits wins.
Shooters look through their scopes, as they get ready to take place in the 200-yard rifle shoot.
Lucius Lucero is ready for action. Lucero came in third place in the youth scoped shoot and second in the open sight shoot.

On Saturday, July 18 the Jesmer/Archuleta Memorial Scholarship Shoot took place at the Southern Ute Tribal Range. Challenger’s got to participate in as many as four different events and two youth events. Food was served; raffle tickets sold and many participants walked away winners.
