Valdez’s stick became official 1:22 into the second of three 1:30-length periods, but the Pirates would best IMS by an unofficial 54-26 count after 15 total bouts. Following a trip to the 3/7 PSMS Invitational, the ’Cats were to host another tri on March 10 (results unavailable at press time), then attack the Cortez-hosted league championships on the 14th.
